How scoring works

Scoring is rule-based and the same every time: no hidden AI and no personalised tuning. Each test draws random questions from a larger bank, balanced by difficulty, trait or interest area. Every assessment comes in two versions: quick (15 questions) and full (25 questions maximum for every assessment).

All tests

  • Answer at least 80% of the questions (12 of 15 in quick mode, 20 of 25 in full mode) to get a result. You can skip questions and return to them before you finish.
  • Full mode has more questions per measure, so its results are rounded less: to the nearest 5% instead of 10%, and the IQ-style number to the nearest point instead of 5.
  • Your answers are scored on the server and not stored.

IQ test (timed: 7 minutes quick, 12 minutes full)

  • The mix is 4 easy, 6 medium and 5 hard questions in quick mode (7, 10 and 8 in full mode), each with one correct answer. Skipped questions count as incorrect.
  • Your number of correct answers is converted with IQ = 100 + 15 × z, where z = (correct − mean) ÷ sd. The result is limited to 55–145.
  • The average (8 of 15 in quick mode, 13.3 of 25 in full mode) and spread (2.8 and 4.5) are assumptions, not measured from a real group. That is why we call the result an unvalidated, IQ-style estimate.
  • The range shown is the number you would get with one more or one fewer correct answer, which shows how coarse a short test is.
  • Untimed practice mode uses the same scoring and only removes the clock.

Personality (untimed)

  • Statements are rated from Strongly disagree (1) to Strongly agree (5). Each of the five traits (Openness, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Neuroticism) gets three statements in quick mode (five in full mode), mixing positively and reverse-keyed wording.
  • Reverse-keyed answers are flipped (6 − your rating) and each trait is averaged. Skipped statements are left out, not counted as neutral.
  • With only three statements per trait, quick results are shown as Low, Medium or High (below 35%, 35–64%, 65% and above of the scale) rather than as a precise number. With five per trait, full results use five levels: Very low (below 15%), Low, Medium, High and Very high (85% and above).

Career fit (untimed)

  • Statements are rated 1–5 and averaged for each of six Holland (RIASEC) areas: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional.
  • Your top two areas drive the summary and suggested careers, and the first letters of your top three form your interest code.
  • Careers are starting points to explore, not a prediction of success.

Limits

Short tests are noisy. Your result can change on a retake, and none of these results is a clinical or professional assessment.
